Are you a commercially-minded qualified accountant with a passion for driving growth and optimizing performance? We\’re looking for a proactive Commercial Finance Business Partner to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our Commercial teams.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
You\’ll take full ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for our Commercial teams, with a sharp focus on revenue drivers and growth optimization. You\’ll be instrumental in establishing and improving our reporting and analytical outputs, leveraging data to evaluate growth opportunities, profitability, and return on investment.
As our Commercial Finance Business Partner, you’ll:
- partner strategically with our MGA and Commercial teams, providing crucial trading performance analytics and deepening insights into the commercial drivers of the business
- work closely with Commercial leadership to drive the long-term strategy of the business, ensuring short-term decisions are aligned and supportive of our ambitious goals
- lead and support the budget and re-forecast processes, demonstrating adaptability to changes in our core operating model. You\’ll navigate multiple, sometimes ambiguous, data sources and evolving processes as we transition to new finance and BI systems
- deeply understand the end-to-end profitability requirements of our growth and optimization initiatives, translating complex data into meaningful financial analysis and providing strategic interrogation of business cases
We’re looking for someone who is:
- a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- an experienced business partner within the insurance industry, with a proven track record of influencing commercial decisions
- comfortable managing large datasets, with a keen appreciation for potential ambiguity and the ability to find clarity.
- experienced working with Data teams and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense)
- excellent at financial modelling, able to translate complex financial data into insightful, management-level information that drives action
