Simplot Grower Solutions is looking to fill a seasonal Truck Driver/Warehouse position. This is a full-time, temporary position with full benefits and the opportunity for substantial overtime hours. The primary responsibility is to operate trucks, deliver fertilizer and chemicals, and assist with plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate fertilizer truck, fill application equipment, and support plant operations as needed.
  • May assist with recordkeeping related to warehouse/inventory responsibilities.
  • Maintain and keep trucks clean.
  • Perform varied responsibilities such as equipment and plant maintenance including welding, pump and engine overhauls, painting, and general housekeeping responsibilities.
  • Loading and delivering fertilizer and chemicals to customers.
  • Miscellaneous duties such as assisting with special projects, attending training sessions, providing back-up when needed, etc.

Typical Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Relevant Experience: Truck driving experience preferred. Knowledge of local rural geography is a plus. Knowledge of farm operations is a plus.

Required Certifications: Must hold and maintain a Class A or B CDL and appropriate driving record.

Preferred Endorsements (not required): HazMat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples.

Must be able to lift 50lbs. Ag-Industry Hours: Must be willing to work overtime and weekends to meet seasonal demands. Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job. Ability to accurately count materials, reconcile quantities, and complete basic math calculations as part of routine workflow.

A combination of education, training and/or experience will be considered for this position. Knowledge of basic farm equipment and operation is also beneficial.

Skills: Ability to do a variety of tasks in succession, i.e., blending products together, loading a truck, and driving the truck to a farm.
