Role Overview
As an HR Business Partner (internally known as the People Partner), you will provide strategic HR support and ensure effective people management across Simplify. This high‑impact, fast‑paced position requires a self‑starter who can work independently, set clear objectives, and partner with specific business areas to drive HR initiatives, support managers and promote a positive, high‑performance work culture.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain effective relationships with senior leaders and managers to understand business needs and provide HR expertise supporting business objectives.
- Implement and execute people strategies that drive performance and align with Simplify’s business goals.
- Act as the first point of contact for complex employee relation matters, providing advice and support to managers in line with best practice and legal requirements.
- Partner with managers to ensure performance management processes are in place and support the development and progression of employees.
- Assist in driving change initiatives, offering guidance and support to managers and employees as required.
- Lead and support HR projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with overall business objectives.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to anticipate workforce needs, ensuring Simplify has the right talent to drive future success.
Requirements
- Proven business partnering experience, ideally in a high‑performance, fast‑paced industry (e.g., FMCG, insurance).
- Self‑starter, proactive, and able to set and work towards objectives independently while delivering results.
- Experience working in an environment that demands high performance.
- Background in the private sector with exposure to complex HR issues in fast‑paced environments.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, providing effective, practical solutions to people challenges in a timely manner.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build credible relationships with employees and senior leaders.
- Resilient and adaptable, comfortable in a fast‑changing environment.
What we need to see from you
- Experience as a generalist HR Business Partner or People Partner within a large (1,000+ employees), multi‑site, complex, fast‑paced private sector organisation.
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and ability to act as an expert ER escalation point.
- Ability to act as an HR subject matter expert in multidisciplinary settings.
- Design, drive, and deliver HR projects, with proven evidence of project management and delivery, supporting change management programmes.
- Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills.
- Skill in data‑driven decision making.
- Experience working with senior business leaders to develop and maintain high‑performing teams.
- Confidence working in rapidly changing and uncertain environments.
- Proficiency in common software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Power BI, Microsoft Project.
- Unrestricted access to own vehicle and willingness to spend at least two days a week at our Leicester Head Office, traveling to other UK sites as required.
