Join Simplify - where technical expertise shapes the future of conveyancing. We’re looking for an experienced Conveyancer (Technical Specialist) to play a pivotal role within our residential conveyancing operation. This is a non-case carrying, non client-facing position, but it is far from behind the scenes. You’ll be hands‑on, solution‑driven, and trusted with responsibility for a portfolio of clients, supporting conveyancers through technically challenging matters and helping to keep files moving efficiently and safely.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong case-carrying background with expertise in title checking and complex matters who now wants to use their technical knowledge, judgement, and problem‑solving skills to make a broader impact across a high‑performing conveyancing business.

What makes this Technical Conveyancing / Title Checking role different? You won’t be running your own caseload — but your expertise will be critical to the success of many others. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the business to resolve complex legal issues, provide technical guidance, and make commercially sound, risk‑based decisions. This is not a role for someone who wants to stay hidden. You’ll need confidence, determination, and independence, alongside a genuine appetite for tackling difficult issues and seeing them through to resolution.

What you’ll do as a Title Checker (Technical Conveyancing Specialist):

  • Take responsibility for a portfolio of clients, supporting file progression and resolution
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex residential conveyancing matters
  • Apply specialist knowledge across:
    • Building Safety Act (BSA)
    • Shared ownership
    • Transfers of part
    • New build properties
    • Leaseholds, estate rent charges, solar panels, restrictions, and other complex titles
  • Make clear, commercially focused, and risk‑aware decisions to keep transactions moving
  • Draft, review and approve high‑level legal documentation autonomously
  • Work collaboratively with conveyancers, lenders, agents, developers and internal teams
  • Take a hands‑on approach to finding practical solutions to challenging legal issues
  • Share knowledge, mentor colleagues, and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Champion the use of technology, AI and automation to improve outcomes

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has 5+ years’ experience handling a mixed residential conveyancing caseload
  • Is highly skilled in Title Checking and replies to enquiries
  • Brings strong technical knowledge, including BSA, shared ownership, transfer of part and new build
  • Is results-focused, determined, and comfortable working independently
  • Enjoys problem‑solving and tackling complex, non-standard issues
  • Can assess risk confidently and make sound commercial decisions
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Keeps up to date with legislation and best practice
  • Is passionate about innovation and improving the way conveyancing is delivered

What’s in it for you?

  • Competitive salary with a strong bonus structure
  • Hybrid or fully home-based working
  • 25 days’ holiday plus 8 public holidays
  • Pension scheme & life assurance
  • Option to buy or sell holiday
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity & adoption pay
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Free conveyancing services
  • Retail discounts and more
