About Simplicity Group
Simplicity Group delivers advanced fleet risk management, video telematics, and vehicle technology solutions across the UK & Ireland. We support fleets operating in transport and logistics, waste management, construction, utilities, and passenger transport — sectors where safety, compliance, and operational resilience are critical.
The Mantis platform is used to:
- Reduce incidents and false claims
- Protect drivers and organisations
- Improve accountability and safety culture
- Support compliance and insurance-led decision making
We are a vehicle-first organisation. Our technology operates in live vehicles, in real operational environments, and our customers expect clarity, confidence, and professionalism from the very first interaction.
About the role
Mantis is a fleet risk, safety, and video telematics platform designed to help organisations prove what happened, protect drivers and assets, and prevent incidents before they occur. It is used by fleets operating in safety-critical environments to improve driver behaviour, reduce risk exposure, strengthen safety culture, and provide clear, defensible insight across daily operations — not just after an incident, but as part of ongoing risk management and prevention.
As a Fleet Sales Development Representative focused on Mantis, you will play a pivotal role in building a high-quality fleet sales pipeline for Simplicity Group. Your responsibility is to proactively identify, engage, and qualify fleet operators where improving safety performance, managing risk proactively, and increasing operational accountability are genuine business priorities. This role requires a front-foot, outbound sales mindset. High-quality Mantis opportunities are created through consistent daily outbound engagement, intelligent questioning, and disciplined qualification. Professionalism in this role is demonstrated through effort, structure, and judgement, not passive activity. You will represent Simplicity Group credibly, speak confidently about real-world fleet risk and safety challenges, and ensure that when opportunities are passed to Fleet Sales, they are relevant, well-qualified, and commercially sound.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and target fleet operators where Mantis risk and video telematics solutions deliver genuine operational value.
- Research and build structured target account lists across defined fleet sectors, focusing on safety- and risk-led organisations.
- Maintain consistent daily outbound engagement through phone, email, and LinkedIn outreach.
- Lead structured discovery conversations to understand fleet size, incident exposure, claims experience, driver risk, and operational pressures.
- Qualify opportunities rigorously against Simplicity Group’s ideal customer profile.
- Book high-quality meetings and demonstrations for the Fleet Sales team, ensuring clear context, relevance, and value are established in advance.
- Maintain accurate, detailed records of all prospecting activity and conversations within Salesforce CRM.
- Work closely with Fleet Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure alignment, consistency, and effective handover of opportunities.
- Perform against defined KPIs that measure effort, quality, and outcome, not activity in isolation.
- Continuously develop knowledge of fleet risk management, safety legislation, insurance considerations, and Mantis use cases.
What We’re Looking For
- A commercially disciplined individual who understands that quality pipeline is built through consistent activity.
- Comfortable being on the phone every day and proactive in outbound engagement.
- Confident engaging fleet managers, operations leaders, and business owners.
- Curious, intelligent, and able to ask thoughtful, relevant questions.
- Takes ownership of preparation, standards, and results.
- Motivated to build a long-term career in fleet risk, safety, and technology.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Experience in a sales development, outbound sales, or customer-facing commercial role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional, credible approach.
- Ability to balance persistence with judgement.
- Organised, methodical, and detail-oriented.
- Resilient, self-motivated, and accountable for outcomes.
- Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Experience in fleet, transport, CCTV, insurance, or safety-led industries is advantageous but not essential — full training will be provided.
Training and Development
- Structured onboarding covering Mantis technology, fleet risk, and Simplicity Group processes.
- Ongoing product, industry, and commercial development.
- Clear progression opportunities into Fleet Sales or specialist commercial roles for high performers.
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary with uncapped commission.
- Structured career development pathways.
- Professional, supportive, high-performance team environment.
- Modern office with onsite parking and excellent facilities.

- Coaching and employee development programs to support your career growth.

- Pension scheme Group Life Assurance.
- Bupa Complete Private Medical.
- Access to Yulife Platform.
- 24/7 Access Virtual GP.
- Employee Assistance Programme access to mental health counselling with full confidentiality.
- Redeem gift vouchers for retail giants such as Amazon, ASOS, Nike (and more).
- Additional holidays based on service length.
