Job purpose: Responsible for promoting the image of the company to existing and potential customers, from OEM level through to polymer processors, by providing a comprehensive package of technical support and project management. Responsibilities: Support existing customer technical enquiries and issues. Support potential new customers’ technical enquiries and issues. Support all processing trials including injection moulding, extrusion and blow moulding. Control and manage the project data sheet process. To manage internal technical enquiry process. Liaise with Application Development team globally to obtain required results. Handling inbound customer technical enquiries. Manage projects on a technical level at customers from concept to commercialisation β commercial activities to be handled by the sales team. Handle material complaints. To be able to present and support customer Tech Days. To attend trade shows supporting the sales team as required. You will also be required to travel in Scandinavia, Ireland and Mainland Europe as required. Authorities: Within the commercial framework set by the Sales Manager(s). Identify stakeholders and decision makers in the value chain and convince them of the value proposal. Network building within the industry. Knowledge building and propagation of that knowledge within the Business Unit. Knowledge and Educational Level: Preferably educated to HNC/HND or above in a relevant subject i.e. polymer or materials science. Relevant experience in the plastics industry. Ability to interpret MoldFlow analysis results is preferred. Ability to understand FEA results would be desirable. Strong understanding of the injection moulding process and extrusion process. Good analytical approach to problem solving. Good understanding of mechanical properties and the relevance these have on product design. Good understanding of design principles for polymers. Good understanding of injection mould tools. Knowledge of the industry and markets, detailed know-how of products, applications, competitive materials and competitors. Excellent communication and social skills. Required level of experience: Minimum of 5 years relevant B2B experience in the field of sales and business development. Analytical with good judgement, business sense and problem-solving skills. A strong negotiator able to identify customersβ needs and be persuasive when presenting ideas. A team player able to work independently. Relation builder with good social and networking skills. Structured worker with good time management and project management ability.
