The Podcast Strategist & Manager is responsible for ensuring each weekly podcast episode is well planned, high quality, and positioned to perform strongly across YouTube and social media.

A key focus of this role is driving growth and identifying opportunities for episodes to gain traction and go viral through strong content strategy and performance‑led decision making.

This role combines content strategy, quality control, performance testing, and podcast management, with the goal of helping each episode reach the right audience, generate momentum, and maximise its viral potential.

Key Responsibilities

Pre‑Production Strategy

This role begins before the episode is filmed.

  • Researching each guest and identifying strong angles, themes, and viral hooks
  • Preparing the structure of the conversation
  • Developing topic direction and guiding questions
  • Identifying key talking points aligned with audience psychology and shareability
  • Ensuring each episode is positioned to create engaging and potentially viral moments
  • Planning conversations with short‑form clip potential in mind

Content Quality Control

After recording, the Podcast Strategist & Manager reviews the first edited draft to ensure:

  • The conversation flows well and maintains audience interest
  • Key moments are clear, engaging, and impactful
  • The episode meets our quality standards
  • The content is structured for strong retention and clarity
  • Strong viral moments are clearly identifiable
  • The episode includes multiple clip opportunities

This role plays a central role in maximizing the reach and performance of each episode, with a strong focus on viral growth.

  • Identifying high‑performing moments that can be repurposed into short‑form clips
  • Spotting viral hooks, insights, or perspectives that are highly shareable
  • Testing different content angles, hooks, and positioning approaches
  • Supporting title and thumbnail testing to improve click‑through rate
  • Working with the ads specialist to amplify high‑performing content
  • Identifying repeatable themes or formats that increase viral potential
  • Ensuring each episode is positioned to reach new audiences
  • Using performance insights to refine future content direction

Publishing & Distribution

  • Uploading and scheduling the full episode
  • Uploading and scheduling promotional clips
  • Ensuring titles, descriptions, and assets are optimized for discoverability
  • Maintaining consistency in publishing timelines
  • Ensuring each episode is positioned for maximum visibility
  • Supporting distribution strategies that increase viral reach
