Kapsel is our German brand and the name thousands of patients in Germany trust to receive their medication safely and on time. Part of Simple Online Healthcare, an online healthcare provider operating across the UK, Germany and Australia, we're on a genuine mission to make healthcare more accessible and the numbers are moving. Kapsel is growing, and we're now looking for the person to take that growth and scale it properly.
This is a senior leadership role with full ownership of growth in Germany, and it's open to German speaking candidates based anywhere in the UK. You'll work remotely day to day, with the flexibility to come into our main offices as much or as little as suits you. Some people want to be in regularly; others prefer to drop in for key moments. Either way, you'll be a genuine part of the leadership team here, not a satellite voice managing a separate market from a distance.
You will own the German market P&L from a growth perspective, accountable not just for traffic and conversions, but for contribution, CAC efficiency, retention and sustainable, profitable scale. This comes with real commercial autonomy you'll set the targets, own the forecast, and have the freedom to make the calls that matter. You'll set the strategy and lead its execution across the full funnel: paid acquisition, CRM and lifecycle, CRO, SEO and data. You'll build and lead the team to deliver it, and you'll be the senior voice for Germany at the leadership table, translating market performance into clear commercial decisions for the executive team and board.
This is a build-and-scale mandate, not a steady-state one. You'll be as comfortable setting three year strategy as you are diagnosing why a cohort isn't retaining and fixing it this week. And you'll be doing it alongside a leadership team that's genuinely strong people who'll push you, back you, and care about getting it right.
What You’ll Own
- The German growth P&L. Full accountability for the commercial outcome of growth in Germany; revenue, CAC, LTV, contribution margin and payback. You set the targets, own the forecast, and are measured on profitable growth, not vanity metrics.
- Strategy & scale. Define and deliver the growth strategy for Germany, balancing established channels, emerging platforms and genuine experimentation. Identify the highest-leverage opportunities to scale acquisition while improving efficiency.
- Full-funnel performance. Direct strategy across paid search and social (Google, Meta, Bing), SEO, CRM/lifecycle and CRO. Ensure every channel is integrated, measured against unit-economic targets, and pulling in the same direction.
- Retention & LTV. Treat retention as a growth lever equal to acquisition. Partner with CRM to improve repeat purchase, cohort retention and lifetime value, the foundation of a healthy LTV:CAC ratio.
- Measurement & forecasting. Build the attribution, reporting and forecasting infrastructure that aligns marketing and finance on a single source of truth for CAC and contribution. Make the German business legible and predictable.
- Team & leadership. Build, lead and develop the German growth team. Set the bar for performance and accountability, hire ahead of the curve, and create an environment where specialists do their best work.
- Executive partnership. Represent Germany at leadership. Communicate performance, risks and strategy with clarity and commercial honesty.
Your Profile
You are a German speaking senior growth leader, based in the UK, who has owned a market or business-line P&L and delivered profitable growth, not just managed channels. You think in unit economics, lead from the front, and can move fluidly between boardroom strategy and hands-on diagnosis. Equally, you're someone who wants to be genuinely part of a wider business: present at the leadership table, connected to the team, and contributing beyond just the German number.
If you're looking for a role where you can see the direct impact of your decisions on a real P&L, work with a leadership team that's bought in, and help make healthcare genuinely more accessible to people in Germany this is worth a conversation.
Experience & track record
- Extensive experience in digital growth / performance marketing, with 3+ years in a senior leadership role owning strategy and a team.
- Proven track record of scaling a D2C, subscription or telehealth business through a meaningful growth phase (e.g. €5M → €30M+ ARR), with direct, demonstrable impact on revenue and contribution.
- Experience owning unit economics, CAC, LTV, payback, contribution margin and making the trade-offs that drive profitable growth.
- Ideally, experience turning around or rebuilding the economics of an underperforming market or channel.
Leadership
- Demonstrable success building and leading high-performing growth teams.
- Confident operating at executive / board level, with strong stakeholder management and the judgement to communicate hard truths clearly.
Technical depth
- Deep, hands‑on command of paid media (Google Ads, Meta, Bing), SEO and lifecycle/CRM (Braze, Klaviyo or similar).
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills; GA4, Looker Studio, SEMrush, with real fluency in cohort analysis, attribution and segmentation. You direct the data, not just consume it.
Market & regulatory knowledge
- Deep understanding of the German market, consumer behaviour, competitive landscape and the digital healthcare/pharmacy regulatory environment (e.g. HWG and advertising restrictions on healthcare and prescription products).
- Experience adapting strategy to local conditions and, ideally, collaborating across multiple markets.
