About Simple
Simple exists to make personalised healthcare easier to access, understand and act on. Our goal is to remove the friction people face when trying to get the treatments and support they need to feel their best. We’re building a modern, scalable platform from the ground up, powered by AI-native engineering that allows small, senior teams to deliver meaningful impact quickly. This is a unique opportunity to join at the earliest stage and directly shape Simple’s platform, engineering standards and future technical direction.
What you’ll be doing
- Join one of Simple’s first AI-Engineering teams, a lean, senior, high-ownership engineering squad.
- Work in a spec-first, AI-native SDLC: AI generates code, tests, and documentation; you architect, review, integrate, and assure quality.
- Build core components of Simple’s healthcare platform.
- Own services end-to-end: design, implementation, observability, reliability, performance.
- Elevate engineering standards across pods, codify reusable patterns, and help define the golden paths for platform development.
- Help shape the engineering culture as one of the foundational hires, mentoring, pairing, cross-reviewing and sharing knowledge as we grow.
What we’re looking for:
Essential- Experience building production-grade software in modern languages (TypeScript/Node.js (Preferred), Python, Java, Go - any strong engineering foundation is fine).
- Frontend focus: Strong proficiency in React and Next.js, complemented by solid full-stack and cloud-native experience.
- Strong skills in automated testing, CI/CD, and modern practices.
- Comfortable working with generative AI tools (or strong willingness to adopt them) to accelerate development.
- Deep understanding of software fundamentals: architecture, clean code, performance, observability, maintainability.
- Strong ownership mindset: you care about outcomes, not just code.
- Excellent collaborator: you work well in small, high-trust environments and you’re comfortable with pairing, knowledge sharing, and cross-pod communication.
- Experience in healthcare, digital services, patient journeys or regulated environments (not required).
- Experience building scalable platforms, reusable components, or high-leverage engineering systems.
- Curiosity about AI-native development and excitement about being part of an early shift in engineering.

- Intro call - meet Talent & understand your motivations.
