Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Dietitian to join our team. This role is a hybrid position which requires someone on site two days a week.
Location and salary
Location – Glasgow (hybrid)
Salary - £30,000 - £40,000
Key responsibilities
- Obesity Management: Conduct comprehensive assessments, evaluating patients\\\' current weight, body mass index (BMI), dietary habits, physical activity levels, and medical history.
- Medication Knowledge: Offer detailed information on various obesity management medications, including their mechanisms of action and intended use.
- Eating Disorder Assessment: Conduct clinical risk assessments to evaluate physical health, psychological status, and behavioural patterns related to eating disorders.
- Nutritional Education: Educate patients on nutrition fundamentals, including macronutrients and micronutrients and their roles in health. Provide guidance on creating balanced meals, appropriate portion sizes, and understanding food labels. Offer additional resources, such as handouts, recipes, and support groups, to enhance learning and application of nutritional principles.
- Overall Integration: Collaborate with dietitians, prescribers, pharmacists, and medical providers to ensure a holistic treatment plan. Commit to ongoing education, empowering individuals with knowledge about nutrition, health, and self-care practices.
Qualifications & experience
- Recognised degree in Dietetics or a related field.
- Registration with a professional body in the UK.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within weight management would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with creating educational content in various formats.
Salary and benefits
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (DOE)
- Basics you can expect: 33 days (Inclusive of Bank Holidays) + 1 day after 2 years of service, up to 5 extra days
