Are you a vigilant professional with a passion for safety and customer service? Simple Life Security (SLS) is looking for a dedicated Retail Security Officer to join our team. You will be the face of our store's safety, ensuring a secure environment for our customers and staff while protecting our assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visual Deterrence: Maintain a highly visible uniformed presence to deter theft and anti-social behaviour.
- Active Patrolling: Conduct regular floor patrols to monitor for suspicious activity and identify potential security risks.
- Incident Management: Respond quickly and calmly to disturbances, medical emergencies, or security breaches.
- Loss Prevention: Use the A.S.C.O.N.E. method (Approach, Selection, Concealment, Observation, Non-payment, Exit) to lawfully intervene in shoplifting incidents.
- Surveillance: Operate and monitor CCTV systems to support crime reduction and safety.
- Customer Interaction: Act as a first point of contact for customer enquiries, providing a helpful and professional service.
Requirements:
- Valid SIA Licence: Must hold a current frontline SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervision licence.
- Vetting: Ability to provide a full 5-year checkable work or education history.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for report writing and liaising with law enforcement.
- Attributes: A calm demeanor under pressure, strong observational skills, and a commitment to integrity.
- Physical Fitness: Capability to remain on your feet for long shifts and respond swiftly to incidents.
