Legal Secretary, Music Department, 12-month FTC
We are looking for a Legal Secretary to join our Music Department on a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover).
This is a full-time role based in London, with hybrid working split between the office and home. You will assist in supporting a team of four Partners and five Associates, working closely with the Department EA to provide an efficient, proactive and professional support service to the lawyers in the team.
The role will involve a broad range of legal secretarial and administrative duties, including:
- Opening and closing client files
- Assisting with billing and general file administration
- Formatting legal documents in line with the Firm’s house style
- Managing diaries and Outlook calendars
- Organising internal and external meetings
- Coordinating conference calls and virtual meetings
- Managing emails, telephone calls, voicemail and out-of-office messages when required
- Maintaining electronic and hard-copy filing systems
- Supporting the team with IT queries and liaising with internal support teams
- Providing a professional and personable point of contact for clients and other external parties
We are looking for someone with at least three years’ experience in a legal administration or legal secretary role within a law firm. Previous experience in the music industry is not essential.
You will need to have excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple requests and keep colleagues informed of progress. You should also have a proactive approach to identifying issues and suggesting possible solutions.
