Overview
Dual role - Account Handler/Accounts Assistant. Simon Winter Marine is a marine hull & liability insurance broker specialising in classic sailing and motor yachts. We are looking for an individual to join our small team based in Seaton, Devon. This is a part-time position of 2 to 3 days per week, flexible working hours available if required, and will consist of two parts.
Responsibilities
- Account Handler: Handle mainly personal lines yacht insurance policies. Manage new business enquiries and insurance renewals and provide first-class service to clients throughout the policy lifecycle. Handle day-to-day queries from clients, act as the point of contact, and build/maintain relationships with clients and insurers. Previous account handling experience would be useful but not essential.
- Accounts Assistant: Work will include client bank account reconciliations, credit control, insurer settlement and transferable commission routines and other general accounting duties. Previous accounting experience essential including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Durell insurance broking software knowledge is also an advantage.
