Position Overview
Simon & Schuster International Sales team is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Administrator to join their team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
Reporting to the International Key Account Manager, the Sales Administrator will support the day‑to‑day running of administrative support to the International Sales team, ensuring the smooth delivery of sales activity across a diverse portfolio of international customers.
Responsibilities
- Produce, analyse, and distribute accurate sales reports using Microsoft Excel and other systems.
- Efficiently process customer orders, returns, and quotation requests.
- Support planning and delivery of author events and promotional activity.
- Maintain accurate customer and sales data across multiple systems.
- Liaise with teams across Customer Services, Finance, Inventory, Marketing, Publicity, and Distribution.
- Assist with ad hoc reporting, commercial analysis, and project work.
- Identify and implement improvements to processes and workflows proactively.
Qualifications
- Highly organised and efficient, with a strong eye for detail.
- Ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
- Confident working with colleagues across all teams, able to use initiative.
- Some experience in administrative, sales support, operations, or customer services, ideally within a fast‑paced or commercial setting such as publishing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good IT skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong grasp of grammar and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop an understanding of publishing and international sales processes.
- Interest in sales, operations, or the international book trade.
