Britannic Explorer, a Belmond Train, United Kingdom, takes to the rails from July 4, 2025. Paying homage to the British tradition of touring, the train celebrates all that is intriguing, quirky and quintessential about the UK. Three- and six-night journeys take in the illustrious landscapes and vibrant cities of Cornwall, the Lake District and Wales. On board, guests enjoy menus designed by chef Simon Rogan, a Bar, Observation Car and Wellness Suite.

As a Depot Chef at Britannic Explorer, you are part of a team responsible for the creation and production of menus that exceed guests’ expectations. In this role, working under the guidance of the Head Chef, you will ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Primary Responsibilities
  • This is a seasonal role which runs from March to November in 2026.
  • In conjunction with the Head/Sous Chef, creating, producing and developing menus that challenge and exceed our guests’ expectations.
  • Assisting in the monitoring of purchase and stock controls to achieve the best price for the best quality produce and avoid wastage.
  • Providing our team members with the nourishment they need to complete their daily tasks.
  • Liaising with others to effectively communicate and respond to feedback from the team and guests alike.
  • Maintaining all areas of the kitchen, stores and other food-related areas, using systems in place to monitor and record all actions taken.
Applicants should have previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the luxury hospitality industry.Benefits
