L'Enclume located in the beautiful village of Cartmel in the Lake District, has been awarded 3 Michelin stars, 1 Michelin Green star and 5AA Rosettes. Farm-to-table has always been central to our philosophy, growers and chefs work side by side to decide what to plant, when to harvest, and how ingredients are used, creating a fully traceable approach that connects land, grower and plate. We serve carefully curated multi-course tasting menus for both lunch and dinner, showcasing exceptional local and seasonal ingredients, alongside thoughtfully selected wine and non-alcoholic pairings. Open five days a week for lunch and dinner service, we are closed on Sundays and Mondays.

We are currently recruiting for a Head Waiter/Waitress to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within one of the UK's most acclaimed restaurants, where you will provide an exceptional and informed guest experience, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and share a genuine passion for food, wine and hospitality.

The Role

  • Running all sections in the restaurant to the expected standards
  • Comprehensive knowledge of a 15-course menu and British farmhouse cheeses
  • Demonstrating passion for the industry with knowledge of current affairs within it
  • Demonstrating ability to train and nurture junior team members
  • Showcase ability to support sommelier team with alcoholic/non-alcoholic pairings, providing opportunities to take ownership and run our chef's table in Cartmel
  • Assisting the management team with ordering stock for the restaurant in terms of disposables and linen
