We are recruiting a Temporary Maintenance Operative to support a busy student accommodation site in London. This hands-on role will act as the go-to contact for day-to-day repairs and general upkeep, helping to ensure the property remains safe, tidy and fully operational for residents and staff.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Carry out day-to-day repairs and minor maintenance tasks across the property
  • Respond promptly and effectively to maintenance requests and reactive tasks
  • Undertake basic plumbing, electrical and joinery works in line with skillset
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety compliance at all times
  • Support on-site staff with property setup, inspections or emergency works when required

Skills & Experience

  • Previous maintenance, caretaker or handyman experience is essential
  • Confident using basic tools and completing general repair tasks independently
  • Reliable, proactive and able to manage workload without supervision
  • Strong awareness of health & safety and safe working practices
  • Customer-focused approach with a flexible and positive attitude
  • Available for an immediate start and happy to work short-term cover
