Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior General Manager to take full responsibility for a large living-sector development in London. This senior leadership position has overall responsibility for people, resident experience, operations, facilities, compliance, financial performance, sales and occupancy.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the site’s operational and commercial performance
- Lead, motivate and develop a large multidisciplinary team
- Create a positive, accountable and high-performing culture
- Deliver an exceptional resident experience
- Lead sales, lettings, bookings, renewals and occupancy performance
- Develop initiatives to increase demand, conversions and resident retention
- Create a vibrant community through engagement and resident events
- Oversee front-of-house services, facilities, maintenance, housekeeping and security
- Maintain excellent standards throughout the property
- Manage planned and reactive maintenance
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, fire safety and statutory requirements
- Manage budgets, payroll, expenditure and financial performance
- Monitor operational, occupancy and resident-satisfaction KPIs
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and contractors
- Maintain a visible and hands-on presence across the site
- Identify opportunities to improve performance and resident experience
Skills & Experience
- Significant General Manager or Senior General Manager experience
- Experience within PBSA, BTR, co-living, hospitality or a similar environment
- Proven experience leading and developing large teams
- Strong sales, lettings and occupancy experience
- Excellent operational, commercial and people-management skills
- Experience managing budgets and financial performance
- Strong facilities, health-and-safety and compliance knowledge
- Exceptional customer-service standards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
