Overview
We are seeking a reliable Maintenance Operative to support a busy student accommodation site in London on a temporary basis. This hands-on role will focus on day-to-day repairs and general upkeep, ensuring the building remains safe, compliant and well presented for residents.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out day-to-day repairs and minor maintenance tasks across the site
- Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests
- Complete basic plumbing, electrical and joinery tasks within skillset
- Maintain strong health and safety standards at all times
- Support the on-site team with setup tasks and occasional urgent works
- Assist in keeping communal areas clean, safe and fully operational
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within maintenance, caretaker or handyman roles is essential
- Confident using tools and completing general repairs independently
- Reliable, proactive and able to work on own initiative
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements
- Customer focused with a positive and professional approach
