Simon-Kucher is establishing a dedicated internal Audit function to provide independent, risk-based assurance over governance, risk management and internal controls across the firm. As Director Audit, you will build the function and personally lead priority audits across business and corporate processes.
The function is intended to stay lean. You will work with a small core team, including existing ISO 27001-related audit expertise in Warsaw, and use external specialists and technology where they improve coverage or quality. Audit remains independent from the teams that own and operate controls.

What makes us special:
  • Become part of a unique entrepreneurial team. Think independently, use your initiative, and take some risks. Entrepreneurship is a powerful force that drives the growth not only of our firm but our clients and people.
  • Unlock the power of opportunity. Advance your career in a thriving company that creates positive impact. We invest in your professional development every step of the way.
  • Enjoy balance and flexible working. Be empowered to do your best work – whether it’s remotely or in the office.
  • Prioritize your health and wellbeing. No matter where you live, we offer a competitive suite of health benefits to help keep you and your loved ones safe.
  • Work in a values-driven culture. At Simon-Kucher, our vision is to become the world's leading growth specialist. Our values guide the way we do business and communicate our distinctiveness. They sum up what we stand for, influence our culture, and drive how and why we do things.
How you will create an impact:
  • Develop the audit charter and methodology for approval, define the audit universe and establish proportionate standards for planning, evidence, workpapers, reporting and quality review.
  • Prepare and deliver a risk-based audit plan focused on the most significant business and control risks, and be clear about coverage choices, resource needs and limitations.
  • Lead and perform audits, including scoping, testing control design and operating effectiveness, assessing evidence, identifying root causes and agreeing clear findings and recommendations.
  • Maintain continuity of required ISO 27001 internal audit work and lead the existing Warsaw-based audit capability without turning the function into a narrow IT-audit team.
  • Track agreed management actions and independently verify whether remediation is complete and effective. Control owners remain responsible for remediation.
  • Use analytics, standard workflows and approved AI where appropriate, while retaining professional judgement, traceable evidence and human review.
  • Lead and develop a small internal team and oversee selected external specialists, matching assignments to competence and avoiding self-review conflicts.
  • Report material findings, recurring themes, overdue actions and coverage gaps clearly to senior stakeholders, while maintaining independence and constructive working relationships.
Your profile:
  • Typically eight or more years in internal audit or risk assurance, including substantial experience leading risk-based audits across more than one business or control domain.
  • Experience establishing or improving audit planning, methodology, reporting or quality standards. A first-time function head is possible if the breadth and seniority are there.
  • Strong understanding of governance, financial and operational controls, compliance risks and management accountability. External audit experience is useful when combined with broader internal-audit or risk-assurance work.
  • Enough technology and information-security audit literacy to supervise ISO 27001-related work and challenge specialist conclusions without needing to be the deepest technical auditor in the team.
  • Experience using audit tools, data analytics, dashboards or automation to improve delivery. Software-development experience is not required.
  • Strong judgement and communication skills, including experience leading engagements, coaching colleagues and presenting clear findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. CIA or an equivalent relevant professional qualification is preferred; CISA or ISO 27001 auditor training is useful. Danish is not required.
  • Audit provides independent assurance and may advise, but it does not own operational controls, remediation, compliance programmes, client assurance or security operations. The role offers the opportunity to shape a global audit function with direct exposure to senior stakeholders and visible impact through better risk insight.
