As part of Simon-Kucher, our IT team works globally as a trusted partner in the company's journey toward success and navigates the ever-changing technological landscape. As Cloud Infrastructure Manager, you will balance people development with technical strategy, acting as both leader and strategic architect and actively shape the future of our internal IT ecosystem. We are based in London, offering a hybrid work model. However, for candidates located outside of London, there is potential for a fully remote arrangement.
How you will create impact:
- Lead and develop a global cloud and infrastructure team, dedicating around 60% of your focus to mentoring, coaching, and career development.
- Provide technical and architectural leadership, shaping our cloud and collaboration strategy with a focus on scalability, security, and innovation.
- Ensure operational excellence of cloud systems (Azure, Microsoft 365, etc.), consistently meeting SLAs and enabling business productivity.
- Drive the migration of legacy workloads into the cloud and modernize our global infrastructure environment.
- Champion Infrastructure as Code, DevOps adoption, and automation, building reusable templates and contributing to CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with IT Security, Network, Applications, and project teams to deliver reliable, cloud-first solutions in compliance with governance standards.
- Oversee Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint, Teams, Power Automate), defining governance policies and supporting adoption across the enterprise.
- Evaluate and introduce new Azure and Microsoft AI technologies to enhance automation, monitoring, and user productivity.
- Contribute to and expand our Cloud & Automation playbook, embedding best practices and standards across the organization.
Your profile:
- At least 8 years of experience in IT Infrastructure and at least 3–5 years leading cloud or hybrid teams.
- Bring hands-on expertise with Azure services (compute, networking, storage, governance), Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Power Automate), and Identity & Access Management (Entra ID).
- Proficient with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Bicep) and automation through scripting (Python, PowerShell, CI/CD tools, Power Automate).
- Proven track record in on-prem to Azure migrations, cloud modernization (governance, automation, DevOps), and in global environment management.
- Excellent leader with the ability to mentor, inspire, and transform specialists into a high-performing team.
- Balance visionary thinking with pragmatic technical oversight, making data-driven decisions.
- Proactive, collaborative, and thrive on shaping transformation.
- Communicate effectively across senior IT and business stakeholders in global, matrixed organizations.
- Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer Expert are a plus.
