We’re looking for multiple Mechanical & Electrical / Facilities / Data Centre Engineers for a project with a Global technology Giant. We’re looking for Data Centre Engineers with some experience of the operation and maintenance of the electrical and mechanical infrastructure for Data Centres for this big four organisation. You’ll be operating and maintaining a world-class mechanical and electrical infrastructure and oversee facility operations and ensure the implementation of safety procedures.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Engineering & Facility Operations and Maintenance: Operational experience with;
- Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC)
- Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS’s)
- Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS's)
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's)
- Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Diesel Generators, Chillers, Exhaust Fans, Transformers
Safety: You’ll be held to high safety and security standards with this organisation, experience in a similar environment is key.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot events and logging
- Manual handling and lifting of equipment
- Managing workflows and inventory via CMMST
- Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment: Temperatures / Voltages / Currents
- Supervise contractors who perform servicing and maintenance
- Some rota/shift work will be expected
You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers that work together to make the Data Centers run smoothly and efficiently.
Please note rate is between £180 - £215, this has the opportunity to extend or convert to permanent employment.
