We are pleased to offer all eligible candidates an exciting and unique career opportunity within Simon Community NI, working as a valuable team member in our newly acquired service location in Lisburn, supporting our on-going goal to prevent Homelessness. It is expected that both Accommodation & Community Support Worker and Senior Practitioner roles will be required initially and will have the wonderful privilege to develop with time along-side the unique transition of the location itself and the clients we support there from the opening in March 2025 with a single person living unit, then beyond. Salary:Points 23-26, £25, 269 – £27,459 per annum Location: Laurel Lodge, Lisburn Hours of Work:35 hours per week, as and when required. Job Purpose:To provide guidance, instruction, direction and supervision of practice, staff and specific projects, and deputise in the absence of the manager where applicable and to be responsible for taking the lead with complex and specialist cases to enable the effective and efficient service delivery of the service (housing-related support, accommodation, transition to the community and prevention). Essential Criteria EITHER 3 years experience of working with socially excluded people OR 3rd Level qualification e.g. QCF NVQ Level 3 in a relevant qualification AND 2 years experience of working with socially excluded people PLUS Proven track record of building and sustaining partnerships with clients, staff, stakeholders, and other departments / services. Evidence of identifying and delivering client-focused services which include comprehensive support and identifying an individuals strengths, needs and risks. Experience in self directing, planning, and prioritising own workload. A sound understanding of people who are experiencing homelessness Good computer literacy skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office e.g. Word, excel, Power point and Outlook. Desirable Criteria Full current driving licence or access to transport to carry out duties of this role 1 years experience of supervising staff or volunteers in a care or support setting.
