Our client is a well-established and highly successful supplier of construction products, and is looking to recruit an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join its team in the Surrey area. This is an important, safety-focused role offering stable employment, sociable driving hours and the opportunity to become part of a supportive branch operation delivering excellent service to customers.
The Role: As our client's HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule to customers across the local region. You will play a key role in supporting day-to-day branch operations while acting as a professional and reliable representative of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering customer orders safely and punctually across designated routes
- Carrying out daily vehicle inspections and ensuring roadworthiness checks are completed accurately
- Securing loads correctly and maintaining full compliance with transport and safety regulations
- Completing transport paperwork and maintaining accurate delivery documentation
- Providing a professional and customer-focused service during all deliveries and customer interactions
- Supporting branch operations where required and maintaining high safety standards at all times
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience
- A strong awareness of transport safety and compliance requirements
- A dependable and professional approach with excellent customer service skills
- HIAB and/or Moffett certification would be advantageous, although training can be provided where required
