Simon Acres Recruitment are working with an established and growing business within the kitchen and interiors sector who are looking to strengthen their internal sales and customer support team. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody with experience in KBB, joinery, interiors, construction products or a related trade environment who enjoys combining customer service with quotations, order management and technical product support.
About the Role
As Sales & Technical Support Coordinator, you will provide day-to-day support to a portfolio of retail, trade and contract customers. You will manage enquiries from quotation through to order and delivery, ensuring specifications and pricing are accurate and customers are kept informed throughout the process. The position would particularly suit somebody who understands the importance of accuracy within the KBB sector and is confident working with product specifications, plans, pricing and customer orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing accurate quotations and costings for trade and retail customers
- Processing customer orders and checking specifications, pricing and product information
- Supporting independent retailers, contractors, developers and other trade customers
- Responding to customer enquiries regarding products, availability, lead times and deliveries
- Liaising with purchasing, production and logistics teams to ensure orders progress smoothly
- Following up quotations and helping convert enquiries into confirmed orders
- Maintaining accurate customer, account and order information on internal systems
- Supporting order planning, reporting and general sales administration
- Developing strong relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat business
- Identifying and resolving order, specification or delivery queries quickly and professionally
- Providing a consistently high level of service throughout the customer journey
Requirements / Skills
- Previous experience within sales support, estimating, quotations, order processing or sales administration
- Experience within kitchens, bathrooms, fitted furniture, joinery, construction products or building supplies would be particularly advantageous
- Kitchen product knowledge is desirable
- Comfortable interpreting plans, specifications and detailed customer requirements
- Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicating with both trade and retail customers
- Commercially aware with the ability to recognise opportunities to convert quotations into sales
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several customer orders simultaneously
- Competent using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Positive, proactive approach with a strong customer-service mentality
