Simon Acres Recruitment are looking for a Machinist for a successful and growing wood and timber distribution business based in West Essex. Our client is heavily focused on the treatment of their customers, which they feel has been a large contributing factor to their growth and success. With this expansion, a fantastic opportunity has come up for a Machinist to join their team in the West Essex area.

Monday to Friday 07:30-16:00

The Role

The Machinist will need to safely operate all of the equipment in the mill and the tool room, along with any associated software. They will also be required to accurately process and handle timber products in line with health and safety.

Requirements

  • Ability to safely operate all equipment within the mill and tool room along with associated software packages
  • Timber machine experience – Including Moulder, Straight Knife Grinder, Profile Grinder, Saws, Cross Cuts, Kindling Machine, Grip Line and Baler as required.
  • Carry out daily maintenance tasks as required reporting any defects to management
  • Use plant to safely transport timber for storage if required and trained. Forklift, Side-loader Licence (Preferred)
  • Grinding Certificate (Preferred)
  • Ensure that all equipment is kept in good and safe working order, and that all relevant documentation is in place prior to departure in order that goods can be tracked
