About the Role:
We are pleased to be working exclusively with a client of ours who are seeking a talented and experienced Joinery CAD Designer to join their dynamic team, specialising in commercial joinery fit-outs. The successful candidate will play a key role in taking projects from concept to production, producing detailed approval and manufacturing drawings, and liaising directly with clients and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design high-quality, bespoke commercial joinery solutions.
- Produce accurate client approval drawings for review and sign-off.
- Generate comprehensive manufacturing drawing packs, including all components, hardware, and cutting lists.
- Ensure all designs are production-ready, optimised for efficiency and precision.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and interior designers to interpret and develop design briefs.
- Work closely with the workshop and project managers to ensure feasibility and accuracy of designs.
- Participate in client meetings and site visits as required.
- Stay up to date with joinery trends, materials, and manufacturing techniques.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in commercial joinery design, ideally within fit-out or bespoke manufacturing.
- Advanced skills in Autodesk Inventor; knowledge of Woodwork for Inventor is highly desirable.
- Willingness to transition from similar platforms such as SolidWorks and SWOOD if not already using Inventor.
- Strong understanding of joinery materials, fittings, fixings, and appliances.
- Confident in producing technically accurate and visually clear drawings for both client approval and internal manufacture.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience in direct client interaction.
- Background in bespoke joinery manufacturing or installation is highly advantageous.
- Portfolio and manufacturing packs to be presented at interview.
