Overview: Are you an experienced Class 2 Driver looking for a permanent role that offers fantastic stability, highly sociable hours, and a great work-life balance? We are delighted to be working alongside one of the UK’s leading suppliers of specialist building materials, focusing on high-quality interiors, insulation, and construction solutions. Operating from their West Yorkshire branch, they are seeking a reliable Class 2 Driver to join their established transport team. This is a fantastic opportunity offering a Monday-to-Friday schedule (7:00 AM – 4:30 PM) with no weekend working, allowing you to enjoy your evenings and weekends. The business also shuts down completely over the Christmas period, giving you guaranteed, well-deserved time off with family and friends. In addition, the company actively invests in your professional development by funding your CPC renewals as well as HIAB and Moffett training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering building materials, interiors, and insulation goods safely and punctually to customers across the region.
- Ensuring all vehicle loads are properly secured before departure and completing thorough daily vehicle safety checks.
- Maintaining accurate transport documentation, delivery notes, and digital tachograph records in line with compliance standards.
- Providing excellent customer service as a key face of the company at customer sites.
- Adhering strictly to driving regulations, health and safety guidelines, and company transport policies.
Requirements:
- A valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence, a valid CPC card, and a Digital Tachograph card.
- HIAB and/or Moffett certification is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in multi-drop delivery routines.
- Previous experience driving for a builders merchant or building materials supplier is highly beneficial, though not essential.
- A strong commitment to health and safety, punctuality, and high standards of customer service.
