About the Role This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to play a key part in the day-to-day warehouse and yard operations, ensuring stock is received, stored, picked, and loaded accurately and efficiently while supporting a high standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and store goods accurately in the correct warehouse or yard locations.
- Prepare customer orders in line with sales requirements and load them onto vehicles.
- Sign for deliveries and report any damaged or broken stock.
- Maintain accurate stock records and assist with stock control activities.
- Keep the warehouse and yard clean, organised, and safe.
- Carry out daily checks on forklifts and other handling equipment, ensuring they remain in safe working condition.
- Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture.
- Build positive relationships with customers at collection and returns points.
- Support stocktaking activities and work overtime when required. Requirements / Skills
- Valid Forklift Licence.
- Good numeracy skills and attention to detail.
