Simon Acres Recruitment are looking for a Trainee Machinist for a successful and growing Wood and Timber distribution business based in West Essex. Our client is heavily focused on the treatment of their customers, which they feel has been a large contributing factor to their growth and success. With this expansion, a fantastic opportunity has come up for a Trainee Machinist to join their team in the West Essex area.
The Trainee Machinist will work alongside others to develop the skills and experience to safely operate all the equipment in the timber mill and tool room, along with any associated software to produce a variety of high-quality timber mouldings. Training will include a combination of on and off-site training at the Epping site in Essex, the timber mill in Hastings, Sussex and relevant training with external companies.
Monday to Friday - 07:30 - 16:00 £12.74 per hour
As a Trainee Machinist you will learn how to safely operate all of the equipment in the timber mill and tool room, along with any associated software to produce a variety of high-quality timber mouldings. In addition, you will learn how to safely operate transporting equipment, including side loaders and combi lifts to move timber around the site for storage.

- Assist with the operation of all woodworking machinery and handling equipment.
