Job Title: Driver’s Assistant\\nLocation: Depot in Oxfordshire\\nSalary: £10.00 – £12.21 per hour + Paid Overtime\\nJob Type: Full-time\\nWorking Hours: Monday-Thursday, 40x guaranteed hours per week – Overnights required\\nSimon Acres Recruitment are looking for a Driver's Assistant for a well-established furniture manufacturer based in West Oxfordshire , delivering beautifully crafted furniture directly to customers across the UK.\\nWe’re looking for a reliable and hard-working Driver’s Assistant to join our client's delivery team, supporting our client's drivers in bringing exceptional service to our their customers.\\nRole Overview:\\nAs a Driver’s Assistant, you’ll work alongside our client's delivery drivers to help transport and handle furniture items safely and professionally. This is a physically active role that involves heavy lifting, teamwork, and customer interaction, so a positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential.\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n * \\n Assist the driver with loading and unloading furniture at the warehouse and customer locations\\n * \\n Safely handle and move items, taking care to avoid damage\\n * \\n Help navigate routes and maintain delivery schedules\\n * \\n Communicate politely and clearly with customers on-site\\n * \\n Ensure all items are placed in the correct rooms, as per delivery instructions\\n * \\n Support with basic assembly or unpacking of furniture when required\\n * \\n Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the delivery vehicle\\n * \\n Adhere to all health & safety guidelines and procedures\\nRequirements:\\n * \\n Comfortable with manual handling/heavy lifting\\n * \\n Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team\\n * \\n Friendly and professional with good communication skills\\n * \\n Flexible approach – willing to work overtime when needed\\n * \\n Previous experience in delivery or removals is a plus but not essential\\n * \\n Willing to learn and take direction from senior team members\\nWhat Our Client Offers:\\n * \\n Competitive hourly rate plus paid overtime\\n * \\n On-the-job training and progression opportunities\\n * \\n Friendly, supportive team environment\\nSimon Acres Recruitment are acting as the employment agency for this position
