About the Client

Simon Acres Recruitment is working with an established and growing business operating within the interiors sector, fitted Furniture / KBB, must have this industry experience. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an ambitious Business Development Manager to join their team and take responsibility for developing commercial opportunities across the South East.

This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional who enjoys developing relationships, identifying new opportunities and taking ownership of their territory.

About the Role

Working across the South East, you will be responsible for generating new business while developing and maximising relationships with existing customers. You will be given considerable autonomy to manage your territory, build your pipeline and identify opportunities for growth. This role would suit someone who is commercially driven, confident in front of customers and motivated by the opportunity to build their own area of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across the territory
  • Build strong and lasting relationships with new and existing customers
  • Develop existing accounts and identify opportunities to increase sales
  • Manage your own sales pipeline and territory effectively
  • Arrange and attend customer meetings and site visits
  • Identify opportunities within your market and convert them into sales
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Achieve agreed sales and revenue targets
  • Maintain accurate records of customer activity and opportunities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a B2B sales or business development role
  • Ideally, experience within the KBB, interiors, construction or associated sectors
  • A strong track record of winning new business and developing existing accounts
  • Confident communicator with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Commercially aware and target driven
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing your own workload
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the South East
