The role

We are seeking a talented Supervising Associate (3–6 PQE) to join our market-leading Employment practice in either London or Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded team advising on a broad mix of complex contentious and non-contentious employment matters, with exposure to high-profile domestic and cross-border work. You will work closely with partners and colleagues across our UK and international offices, playing a key role in delivering high-quality advice to a sophisticated client base, while taking on increasing responsibility for client relationships, matter management and mentoring junior lawyers.

You will work across a full range of employment law matters, including:

  • Advising on general advisory and strategic employment law issues
  • Supporting corporate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, and reorganisations
  • Handling complex employment litigation, including discrimination, whistleblowing and board-level disputes
  • Advising on employee exits and executive termination matters
  • Supporting clients on workplace investigations and people-related risk
  • Advising on international employment issues, including cross-border projects, workforce mobility and harmonisation of employment processes
  • Delivering advice on restructuring, redundancies and change management programmes
  • Supporting clients on regulatory and compliance matters, including data protection and governance issues

Person specification

We are looking for a motivated, commercially minded lawyer who is keen to take the next step in their career. You will have:

  • 3–6 years’ post-qualification experience in employment law, gained at a leading firm
  • Strong technical employment law experience across both contentious and non-contentious matters
  • Excellent academics and strong analytical ability
  • A commercial and pragmatic approach to client work
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple matters effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

You will also demonstrate:

  • A strong client focus and commitment to delivering high-quality service
  • An interest in developing client relationships and contributing to business development
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse and inclusive team
