Simmons Adaptive are looking for additional resource to support Simmons & Simmons on a variety of upcoming projects.
You will be supporting our UK and international clients which will include corporates, funds and/or public sector bodies.
Consultant lawyers with experience in one or more of the following areas across different asset classes such as renewables, nuclear and data centres are highly desired:
- expertise in the Energy Act and related legislations, UK domestic energy regulation, licensing, policy, regulatory enforcement and Ofgem processes
- contracts for differences
- regulated asset based models
- carbon capture storage
- electricity licencing
- connection agreements
- waste heat offtake
- advising on relationships and contracting with and between TSOs, DNOs and IDNOs.
We are very open to flexible working and keen to hear from consultants who are open to ad hoc or full-time working arrangements.
Person specification:
- You are a qualified lawyer with at least 7 years post qualification experience.
- You have strong domestic energy regulation experience from either private practice, in-house or a regulator.
- You have strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate complex analysis in a clear and concise manner.
- You can work autonomously but can also collaborate effectively as part of the wider team.
- Self-motivated team player, with a desire to develop strong relationships and excellent time management skills.
- You will be required to hold the relevant right to work for the UK, visa sponsorship is not available via Adaptive.
