Simmons Adaptive – Interim Banking/Finance Lawyer (Leveraged & Structured Finance)

Main purpose of the role: Simmons Adaptive are keen to hear from banking/finance lawyers who are interested in supporting our client, a leading industry body. This is a full time opportunity, working a hybrid model with 3 days in the office for a duration of 6 months.

• Provide hands-on legal, analytical and project support across structured finance, leveraged finance and alternative credit workstreams.
• Take ownership of discrete projects, support committees and working parties.
• Assist with documentation reviews, regulatory research and consultation drafting.
• Help progress strategic initiatives and market-facing outputs.

Person specification:

• You are a qualified lawyer with banking/finance experience from a leading private practice or in-house role.
• Strong familiarity with loan market practice and LMA-style documentation.
• Experience with regulatory engagement and non-transactional project work preferred.
• You are a problem solver and offer a collaborative approach.
• You are able to work in a dynamic and fast moving environment.
• You are able to work quickly and effectively to tight deadlines.
• You have excellent organisation skills with the ability to effectively prioritise workloads.
• You can work autonomously but can also collaborate as part of the wider team.
• You will be required to hold the relevant right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
