Our paralegals play a vital role in supporting our lawyers with legal research, document review, drafting, and transaction management. They work across all of our practice groups and sectors, gaining valuable experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment. By submitting a speculative application you will be considered for future paralegal opportunities across the firm as they arise, rather than for a specific vacancy.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Providing general administrative support to fee‑earners including drafting, reviewing and proof‑reading legal documents.
- Analysing, collating and summarising relevant documents and information.
- Researching points of law and other factual issues and preparing reports on the same.
- Collating, organising, uploading and managing documents.
- Carrying out project management on large and/or complex matters.
- Assistance to the team on marketing activities and management of profile raising.
Education / qualifications / experience:
- Law graduate with a first or upper second class degree or equivalent.
- Previous paralegal experience or other relevant legal work experience desirable.
Knowledge and technical skills:
- Excellent IT skills, including Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Previous legal database experience desirable.
General Skills/Attributes:
- Highly organised and methodical approach to the role as well as confidence with IT systems.
- Attention to detail and the confidence to work independently.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Highly motivated and commercially astute.
- Excellent communication skills and a collegiate, team‑based attitude.
- The ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Self‑motivated, hardworking, reliable and works well under pressure.
