Main purpose of the role:
Simmons Adaptive are seeking a Compliance Professional for a 13-month maternity leave cover, commencing in May 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance lawyer or professional to work within a leading pension scheme, supporting both public and private market groups. You will play a vital role in managing compliance systems, administering policies and procedures, and providing advisory support across the business.
- Build strong relationships with business units to support compliance matters.
- Provide ad-hoc advice and ongoing surveillance including best execution, allocations, sanctions lists, shareholding disclosures, position limits, and exceptions reporting.
- Support the management of expert networks, market soundings, trade restrictions, and compliance workflows, including the integration of new reg tech systems.
- Assist with external KYC requests, policy and procedure updates, and the compliance manual.
Person specification:
- Thorough knowledge of the UK regulatory framework.
- Hands-on experience of both public markets and private markets compliance.
- Working knowledge of Bloomberg, FundApps, or equivalent compliance monitoring systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or industry qualification (e.g., CISI).
- Excellent knowledge of FCA rules, MiFID II, guideline and limit monitoring, market abuse surveillance, shareholder disclosures, position limits, and conflicts of interest.
- Some knowledge of European and U.S. regulatory frameworks.
