As an Adaptive consultant, you will be fully supported by the Simmons & Simmons team with a sponsoring Partner and a client team with whom we encourage regular engagement. You will have access to the firm's resources and know-how and have the opportunity to be involved in training and development at the Firm.

Main purpose of the role:

Simmons Adaptive are keen to hear from commercial/investment lawyers interested in supporting a client at Simmons & Simmons. This is expected to be a full-time role for 6 months, with two days in the London office. The successful consultant will:

  • Advise on and be a subject matter expert on commercial and investment law matters.
  • Contribute to the scaling up and transformation of the legal function.
  • Support the legal and governance director and interface with external legal providers.
  • Draft, review and negotiate documents with third parties.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Person specification:

  • You are a qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • You have strong experience in a regulated financial services environment, ideally pensions.
  • You have expertise in commercial and investment law.
  • You have demonstrable experience advising on new product rollouts and commercial propositions.
  • You are a problem solver and offer a collaborative approach.
  • You can work in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
  • You can work quickly and effectively to tight deadlines.
  • You have excellent organisation skills with the ability to effectively prioritise workloads.
  • You can work autonomously but also collaborate as part of the wider team.
  • You will be required to hold the relevant right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
