We have an exciting opportunity for an FI Sector Senior Manager to join our Marketing & Business Development department on a 6-month fixed-term contract. As a Senior Manager in the M&BD team for the FI sector, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the firm's thought leadership strategy. You will lead on the development, delivery, and promotion of a high-impact thought leadership campaign, working closely with partners, fee earners, and the wider M&BD team to position the firm as a market leader in the FI space.
In addition to your primary focus on thought leadership, you will provide support on a range of ad hoc sector activities. This will include assisting with the preparation of pitches, responding to client requests and contributing to other marketing and business development initiatives as required. You will be expected to demonstrate strong project management skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

What will you do:
- Thought leadership: Lead the planning, creation, and execution of a thought leadership campaign for the FI sector, ensuring alignment with the sector and firm’s strategic objectives. Identify opportunities for strong return on investment, engaging with the Head of Marketing & Communications and the Head of Client and Sectors as relevant.
- Pitch and proposal management, delivery, and review: Assume a proactive and leading role in the development of high-value pitch responses. Offer comprehensive support to partners and others, collaborating with the Pricing, Client Programme, and Sectors M&BD teams as necessary.
- Content development: Manage the production of high-quality content, including articles, reports and client briefings, and oversee the dissemination of materials across appropriate channels.
- Return on Investment: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the campaign and sector initiatives, using insights to inform future activity.
- Stakeholder management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the firm and within the FI sector. Bring them on the journey of the thought leadership campaign.
- Keep abreast of developments and market trends relevant to the FI sector: Stay updated on developments in the market to detect and/or anticipate possible business opportunities. Collaborate with partners and sector specialists to identify emerging trends and bring these insights to the thought leadership campaign.
- Ad hoc M&BD support: Support the FI sector team with ad hoc business development activities, such as pitch preparation, client requests and event support.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of 5 years marketing / business development experience (or the equivalent of) preferably in a professional services environment.
- Proven track record of delivering successful thought leadership campaigns.
- Hands-on self-starter with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organisational abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Solution oriented.
- Commercially driven.
