As an Adaptive consultant, you will be supported by the Simmons & Simmons team with a sponsoring Partner and a client team. You will have access to the firm's resources and opportunities for training and development.
Main purpose of the role:
Simmons Adaptive is looking for commercial/investment lawyers interested in supporting a client at Simmons & Simmons. This is expected to be a full-time role for 6 months, with two days in the London office. The successful consultant will:
- Advise on and be a subject matter expert on commercial and investment law matters.
- Contribute to the scaling up and transformation of the legal function.
- Support the legal and governance director and interface with external legal providers.
- Draft, review and negotiate documents with third parties.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Person specification:
- You are a qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE).
- You have strong experience in a regulated financial services environment, ideally pensions.
- You have expertise in commercial and investment law.
- You have demonstrable experience advising on new product rollouts and commercial propositions.
- You are a problem solver and offer a collaborative approach.
- You can work in a dynamic and fast-moving environment and meet tight deadlines.
- You have excellent organisation skills with the ability to effectively prioritise workloads.
- You can work autonomously but also collaborate as part of a wider team.
- You will be required to hold the relevant right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
