Our Energy, Natural Resources, Infrastructure (ENRI) group sits at the heart of the firm’s global sector strategy, advising clients on projects that are central to economic growth, energy transition and sustainable development. We support a broad range of clients – including sponsors, developers, lenders, investors and public sector bodies – across complex projects in both established and emerging markets. Our team provides comprehensive legal support across the full project lifecycle, from structuring and financing through to development, delivery, operation and dispute resolution. Our expertise spans key areas such as conventional and renewable power, oil and gas, mining and metals, digital and critical infrastructure, defence and construction. We play a central role in supporting clean energy initiatives, major infrastructure developments and evolving supply chains, helping clients navigate increasingly complex regulatory, financing and geopolitical landscapes.
The Role
We are looking to recruit a talented Associate (0–3 PQE) to join our ENRI practice in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a collaborative, high-performing team on a broad range of domestic and international ENRI matters. You will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of work, including:
- Project Finance – advising lenders, sponsors and developers on the financing of energy and infrastructure projects
- Corporate – supporting M&A, joint ventures and investments within the ENRI sector
- Project Documentation – drafting and negotiating core project agreements across the project lifecycle
About you
- Qualified lawyer with around 0–3 years’ PQE
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: project finance, project development, corporate and/or commercial contracts
- A genuine interest in the energy, infrastructure and natural resources sectors
- Strong technical drafting skills and attention to detail
- A collaborative and proactive approach to working within a team
- Commercially minded, with the ability to understand clients’ business objectives
