Overview
The Paralegal – Structured Finance and Derivatives (TDU) supports the Trade Delivery Unit within the Structured Finance & Derivatives group. The TDU focuses on managing and delivering structured products trades and project work, aiming to increase efficiency and profitability while supporting business development initiatives to grow the volume of structured product transactions.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with fee earners in the Structured Finance & Derivatives groups in the UK and globally to provide assistance with listings including drafting, reviewing and proof-reading legal documents.
- Developing relationships with stakeholders in the prospectus approval and listing process including listing agents, national regulators and stock exchanges.
- Researching points of law and other factual issues and preparing reports and external know how on the same.
- Providing general legal support to the group.
Education / qualifications / experience
- Law graduate with a first or upper second class degree or equivalent.
- Previous paralegal experience or other relevant legal work experience.
- Experience using legal research databases (preferred).
Knowledge and technical skills
- Excellent IT skills, including Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Previous legal database experience.
- Language skills (particularly German) advantageous but not essential.

- Highly organised and methodical approach to the role as well as confidence with IT systems.
- Attention to detail and the confidence to work independently.
- Willingness to travel to London as required.
- Highly motivated and commercially astute.
