The role:

We are looking for a Legal Applications Systems Analyst to join our IT department.

This role within the Productivity Applications Team will support the business in delivering and optimising Microsoft 365 and Copilot technologies. A core focus of the role is deep technical ownership of the Microsoft 365 platform — including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Viva, Office apps, and the evolving Copilot ecosystem. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, integrating, and supporting these services to meet business needs, while ensuring compliance, security, and user adoption. Staying current with Microsoft’s roadmap and enabling new capabilities such as Copilot Agent Builder will be essential. This role is particularly suited to candidates with experience supporting legal professionals and legal technology solutions within a Microsoft 365 environment.

What will you do:

  • Administer and configure Microsoft 365 services including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Viva, Office apps, Copilot, Power Platform and Copilot Studio.
  • Plan and coordinate the migration of integrated applications and add-ins to the new Outlook experience, in line with Microsoft’s roadmap and deprecation timelines.
  • Lead the technical enablement and configuration of new M365 features, including preview and early access capabilities.
  • Implement and maintain security, compliance, and governance policies using Microsoft Compliance Centre and Security Centre.
  • Automate IT administrative and operational tasks using PowerShell / Power Platform and other scripting tools.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Excel and Power BI to monitor adoption, usage, and compliance.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Project Managers, Scrum Masters, and senior leadership to deliver value iteratively, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and Agile delivery principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Risk, Security, HR, and Legal to align technical solutions with business needs.
  • Liaise with Microsoft account managers to align on licensing strategy, roadmap planning, proactive support, funding opportunities, and adoption success initiatives.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Microsoft 365 and Copilot developments by actively monitoring key sources — including the Message Center, Microsoft 365 Roadmap, Tech Community blogs, Microsoft Learn, and major Microsoft events (e.g. Ignite, Build) — and collaborating with Product Managers to support the timely rollout of relevant features through pilot testing, user enablement, and documentation.
  • Maintain awareness of legal-specific applications and add-ins integrated into Microsoft Office (e.g. document comparison, metadata cleaning, legal drafting tools), ensuring compatibility and performance within the M365 environment.
  • Participate in change management processes, including planning, submitting proposals to the Change Advisory Board (CAB), conducting testing, coordinating deployment, and providing post-implementation support.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Microsoft 365 administration or a similar technical role.
  • Demonstrable expertise in Microsoft 365 platform administration, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Viva, Office apps, and Copilot.
  • Experience configuring and integrating new M365 features, including preview tools and roadmap-based deployments.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications strongly preferred, including: Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert; Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate; Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate; Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate; Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals; and Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate (optional but beneficial).
  • Experience with Microsoft compliance and security tools (Compliance Centre, Security Centre, Purview).
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
