The company S&H are exclusively partnering with a leading global retailer/leisure business. The business is seeking a high quality corporate lawyer to join its in-house team in a key Senior Legal Counsel role, supporting the Group General Counsel. This is an exciting and varied position.
The role is a business facing in-house role at a top tier company, with a balance of business partnering and advising stakeholders on a variety of corporate and strategic matters. Secondary responsibilities of the position include broader commercial work and the chance to diversify experience. The role can be broken down as follows:
- Supporting the General Counsel and senior stakeholders on a variety of Corporate matters.
- Advising on share and asset acquisitions, JVs, corporate restructurings.
- True business partnering with a variety of business units.
- Support the business in capital structure and corporate financing.
- Supporting in corporate governance, compliance and company secretarial matters.
- Broader work including commercial contracts.
About you:
- Significant corporate legal experience.
- Strong academics.
- In-house experience essential either gained on secondment or working in-house permanently.
- Law firm trained.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
