We are working with a leading global financial institution on hiring in their London based Leveraged Finance Credit team. This is a senior credit risk position with responsibility for the assessment, approval and ongoing management of leveraged finance exposures across the EMEA business.
Please note: candidates must have direct Leveraged Finance Credit Risk experience gained within a bank. Applications without this specific experience will not be considered.
The role:
- Provide senior credit oversight across a portfolio of Leveraged Finance exposures
- Assess and approve new transactions, with delegated credit authority and responsibility for making recommendations to senior management
- Act as a senior credit partner to relationship management, origination and distribution teams
- Provide challenge and guidance on complex transactions, identifying potential risks and breaches of risk appetite
- Contribute to credit strategy, risk appetite and portfolio management
- Provide direction and oversight to credit professionals within the team
- Represent the credit function at senior internal forums across EMEA and globally
Experience required:
- Proven Leveraged Finance Credit Risk experience
- Experience gained within a banking environment, ideally a Tier 1 financial institution
- Strong credit assessment and risk management capabilities
- Deep knowledge of leveraged finance products and credit risk principles
- Experience managing complex credit decisions and senior stakeholder relationships
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements relating to credit
- Excellent judgement, communication and decision-making skills
