I am partnering with a leading, private equity-backed global infrastructure business, who are seeking a broad corporate/commercial lawyer, with city private practice training, looking to make their first move in-house and have the chance to expand their skill set and take on a wide-ranging role encompassing all in house life has to offer. This is an exciting opportunity for a junior lawyer (1.5-3PQE) from either a Commercial, Construction/Projects, Property or Corporate team looking to make a significant impact in a fast-moving and collaborative corporate environment.
The role is key to the growth of the business and will allow you to develop your skills as a key business partner, working closely with the European General Counsel and rest of the legal team and business. This is a role for a lawyer looking for a challenge in a small, fast paced, commercially focussed legal team.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Senior Legal Counsel and European General Counsel on drafting and negotiating various commercial agreements, including customer and supplier contracts, framework agreements, consultancy services agreements etc.
- Working with the legal team on group level projects such as reorganisations, restructurings and financings
- Working with the legal team on ethics and compliance matters globally and overseeing the quarterly litigation and compliance reporting processes and compliance training programme
- Supporting the group’s data privacy programme
- Supervising and managing company secretarial activities
Required Experience:
- Lawyer qualified in the UK with 2+ years of post-qualification experience at a mid to top tier private practice law firm
- A lawyer who understands business needs and who always considers these as a main factor in delivering pragmatic, timely, commercially focused advice.
- A true business partner able to add value with excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and organize time effectively; exceptional document and matter management skills.
- A team player who enjoys rolling their sleeves up and working towards common goals.
