Simmons & Hanbury are exclusively mandated on a search for a Banking & Finance lawyer to join a leading international bank. The role will work alongside a great team of lawyers, in a collegiate team doing a variety of work. They are open to candidates who are looking to make their first move in-house or those who trained at another financial institution. The role will be working three days a week in their Central London office, with two days from home.
Key responsibilities
- Provide legal support on a broad range of banking and finance transactions, including syndicated lending, bilateral loans, trade finance and real estate finance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate loan documentation, security agreements, and related contracts.
- Advise on regulatory requirements and market standards affecting banking operations.
- Support the business on cross-border matters in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
Experience requirements
- Qualified lawyer in the UK with 5+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong technical expertise in banking and finance law, gained within a leading law firm or financial institution.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle a variety of financing structures.
