About Us
Simmer is a meal delivery service built on a simple idea: healthy food should taste extraordinary. Founded by brothers Simmy and Jhai with £10 of ingredients, the business has grown into one of the UK’s most compelling consumer startups and the fastest-growing food business in Europe (Financial Times 1000 List), with tens of thousands of loyal customers. We’re now a profitable, bootstrapped, scaling business with a clear ambition: to become the defining brand in healthy eating. This is a fully founder-led company with no private equity or corporate layers. The founders still run the business, set the standard and are deeply present in the work. For the people that join Simmer, that means operating with real ownership, close to the decision-making, on problems that genuinely move the business.
Now we're hiring a Talent Partner to help build the team behind the next stage of growth.
What we're looking for
This role would suit someone currently working in agency recruitment who has strong foundations and is looking for a steeper learning curve. You might be one of the people your manager relies on. The person who spots quality early, builds strong relationships naturally and consistently finds ways to outperform expectations. You're naturally curious about people, teams and businesses. When someone hires a CFO, launches a new product or changes strategy, your instinct is to understand why. You enjoy figuring things out. You ask good questions. You challenge assumptions. You notice patterns others miss. You're commercially aware and understand that great hiring isn't about filling jobs. It's about solving business problems through people. You care more about becoming exceptional than looking impressive.
You'll likely have:
- 1-4 years of recruitment experience.
- A track record of consistently delivering strong work.
- Strong emotional intelligence and good judgement.
- High standards and strong attention to detail.
- The ability to move quickly without sacrificing quality.
- The confidence to form your own opinions and the humility to change them when presented with better information.
The environment here is fast, direct and often ambiguous. There won't always be a perfect brief. There won't always be a playbook. There won't always be someone telling you exactly what to do next. That's part of the attraction. You'll get exposure to founder-level hiring, senior decision-making and business-building much earlier than you would in most companies. This isn't a soft landing out of agency. It's an opportunity to take the pace, resilience and commercial instinct you've developed in recruitment and apply it inside one of the UK's most ambitious consumer businesses. If you're excited by steep learning curves, real ownership and the opportunity to become genuinely excellent at talent, we'd love to hear from you.
