At Simmer, we're on a mission to make healthy eating effortless. We create chef-made, high-protein meals inspired by flavours from around the world, making it easier for busy people to eat well every day.
What started with £10 worth of ingredients and a handful of family recipes has grown into one of the UK's fastest-growing businesses. In both 2025 and 2026, Simmer was recognised by The Sunday Times as the UK's 5th fastest-growing company.
We're proud of that, but we're much more focused on what comes next. We're a profitable, founder-led business building in a category we think can become much bigger. We've grown quickly through product quality, performance marketing and a deep understanding of our customers. Now we're entering the next phase. We don't just want to build a great food company. We want to build a brand that people genuinely choose to engage with, talk about and remember.
We're still a deliberately lean team, which means people here get close to the work, the customers and the decisions that shape the business. Good ideas can come from anywhere, and the people who join us have the chance to make a real impact. We're ambitious, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. There's still a huge amount to build, and we think we're only at the beginning.
The Role
We're looking for a Creative Lead to help build the next chapter of creative at Simmer. This is a role for someone who enjoys building; you won't inherit a huge creative team or a finished operating model. You'll combine creative direction, production and operational thinking to help shape not just the work we create, but how we create it.
You'll work closely with our founders, Head of Brand and Growth team to produce creative that feels culturally relevant, commercially effective and native to the platforms where our customers spend their time.
We're looking for someone who's naturally curious about why certain brands, creators and campaigns cut through. Someone who notices the details others miss, saves work that inspires them and genuinely enjoys understanding why people stop scrolling, share content or remember a campaign. Great taste matters, but so does knowing how to turn that taste into work that performs.
You're just as comfortable planning a campaign shoot as you are refining a performance ad, briefing creators, improving production workflows or finding smarter ways to increase the quality and volume of our creative. Ultimately, we're looking for someone who wants to build a creative function they'll be proud of in two or three years' time.
What You'll Do
- Creative Execution: Help shape creative that feels culturally relevant, platform-native and commercially effective. Lead the creative execution across paid social, organic content, website, campaigns, packaging, founder content and product launches. Raise the quality and consistency of everything we put into the world.
- End-to-End Production: Own productions from concept through to delivery, including production planning, timelines and budgets, booking locations, talent and freelancers, managing photographers, videographers, editors and stylists, leading shoots on set, delivering high-quality creative at pace.
- Build Our Creative Operation: Create simple, scalable ways of working that allow great creative to happen consistently without unnecessary process. Build and develop a trusted freelance network across production, design, motion, editing and content creation, while continually looking for ways to improve quality, speed and output.
- Performance Creative: Work closely with our Growth team to develop creative that's built to perform, using testing, iteration and audience insight to continually improve results across paid and organic channels. Understand the difference between creative that simply looks good and creative that earns attention and drives commercial outcomes.
- Protect & Evolve the Brand: Champion quality, challenge work that feels generic and help us continually raise the creative bar. Help ensure every customer touchpoint feels unmistakably Simmer, whether it's a Meta ad, founder content, a podcast, product launch or campaign shoot.
What We're Looking For
You'll probably have experience in creative production, branded content, content creation or creative operations within a fast-moving consumer brand, agency or creative studio. More importantly, we're looking for someone who has helped build something. That might be a creative function, production systems, ways of working, freelance networks or simply a better way of getting great work into the world.
You’ll likely:
- Have exceptional creative judgement and strong visual taste.
- Understand both performance creative and brand creative.
- Have experience producing social-first content alongside larger campaigns.
- Be confident running shoots from planning through to delivery.
- Enjoy creating structure without creating bureaucracy.
- Be highly organised, resourceful and comfortable working at pace.
- Enjoy solving problems and making things happen.
- Be comfortable working directly with founders as priorities evolve.
- Naturally spot opportunities and bring ideas rather than waiting for direction.
- Have a builder's mindset and a bias towards action.
We're looking for someone who doesn't just produce great creative; they build the environment, systems and standards that allow great creative to happen consistently. Experience in founder-led D2C, lifestyle, wellness, fashion, sport or creator-led brands would be a bonus, but isn't essential.
Why Join Simmer?
This is an opportunity to join at a stage where you'll genuinely shape what comes next. You'll work directly with the founders, have real ownership from day one and play a key role in building the creative function as well as the creative itself. There's still a huge amount left to build, which makes this an exciting opportunity for someone who's ambitious, enjoys moving quickly and wants to leave a lasting mark on one of the UK's fastest-growing consumer brands.
