About Us
Simmer started with a simple idea: healthy food should taste extraordinary. Founded by brothers Simmy and Jhai with £10 of ingredients and a small kitchen setup, the business has grown into one of the UK’s fastest-growing consumer food companies, reaching over £100M ARR without external funding. Today, Simmer serves hundreds of thousands of customers and has built a loyal subscriber base through strong product, fast execution, and an unusually lean, high-performing team. We’re now entering the next phase of growth - expanding beyond the channels that got us here, building new acquisition engines, and strengthening the systems needed to scale much further.
The Role
We’re looking for an ambitious, commercially sharp operator to help build Simmer’s next growth engines. You’ll work directly with founders and senior leaders on high-impact commercial projects focused on customer acquisition, experimentation, partnerships, and growth. This is intentionally a broad role. Some projects may already show strong traction. Others may start as messy ideas that need figuring out from first principles. A big part of the role is helping turn promising opportunities into scalable, repeatable systems. That could involve:
- creator and influencer partnerships
- referral or affiliate mechanics
- offline activations
- commercial partnerships
- community-led initiatives
- entirely new acquisition channels
We’re looking for someone who enjoys:
- solving ambiguous problems
- learning quickly
- moving from idea → execution → iteration
- thinking commercially about what actually works
You’ll need to think critically about:
- what drives customer behaviour
- what scales efficiently
- where attention is underpriced
- how strong ideas become repeatable growth systems
This is a hands-on role with real ownership from day one. Because the team is still relatively lean, people at Simmer tend to get responsibility and exposure earlier than they would at larger companies. Strong performers in this role are likely to take on significantly broader ownership as the business scales.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Identifying and testing new growth opportunities
- Helping move projects quickly from idea to execution
- Building relationships with creators, brands, and partners
- Running experiments and learning from results
- Analysing performance and commercial viability
- Helping build scalable systems around successful channels
- Working closely with founders and senior leaders on high-priority commercial projects
Ultimately, success in this role comes down to whether you can help turn promising ideas into scalable, commercially viable growth channels.
Who This Could Suit
This role could suit someone coming from:
- Growth or commercial roles at a high-growth startup
- Founder’s Associate or Chief of Staff-style positions
- Partnerships, affiliate, or creator-focused roles
- Commercial or strategy graduate schemes
- Consumer, media, creator, or D2C businesses
- Early-stage environments where you’ve had to operate across multiple areas
What We’re Looking For
We care more about trajectory, learning speed, commercial instinct, and ownership than perfectly matching a job description. You’ll likely have:
- 2-4 years of experience in growth, strategy, commercial, partnerships, marketing, or founder-support roles
- Strong academics, ideally from a Russell Group or similarly strong university
- Evidence that you take initiative and learn quickly
- Strong curiosity around consumer businesses and growth
- Good judgement and communication skills
- Comfort operating in environments that move quickly and change often
- A willingness to take ownership without waiting to be asked
You do not need experience across every area listed above. This role is best suited to someone looking for a steep learning curve, meaningful ownership early in their career, and the opportunity to grow quickly alongside the business.
Why Join
- Work closely with founders who are still deeply involved in commercial decision-making and growth experimentation
- Get exposure to high-impact commercial projects early in your career
- Help build channels and systems at meaningful scale
- Work in a low-bureaucracy environment where strong ideas can move quickly
- Learn fast by working on real commercial problems with meaningful ownership
Compensation & Benefits
£45,000–£65,000 depending on experience
25 days holiday
Free Simmer meals (worth up to £2,000/year)
Pension
Perks & discounts platform
Regular team socials
If you want a role with unusually high ownership, pace, and upside for your level, we’d love to hear from you.
